Confronting Fascism Means Making Fascists Uncomfortable

I’m going to take a sharp turn from the usual posts I write here. From now on, things are going to be a lot more informal, and a hell of a lot more confrontational. This isn’t an academic discussion anymore—this is about the urgent need to confront the rise of fascism and Nazism in the United States.

I’ve made a decision: I’m going to make these fascist, Nazi motherfuckers as uncomfortable as I possibly can. I’m going to shame them. I’m going to troll them. I’m going to call them and their bullshit out every single chance I get. And I’d love it if you joined me.

Why?

Because there was a time in this country when having fascist or Nazi sympathies was considered shameful. People with those ideologies kept that shit to themselves. And rightly so. But now, thanks to the rise of Donaldism—and no, I will not use his last name—that shame has evaporated.

Donald has emboldened the worst among us. Literal neo-Nazis have endorsed him in every election he's run in. And unlike any normal person, he didn’t reject those endorsements. He stayed silent. That silence was heard loud and clear by the fascists—and it was taken as acceptance.

That’s completely. Un. Fucking. Acceptable.

Donald is a fascist. And quite possibly a Nazi. I know that’s a bold claim. Normally, throwing around labels like that is a lazy rhetorical move. It’s a logical fallacy—an ad hominem, guilt by association, take your pick. But in this case, it’s just a fact. When you walk like a fascist, talk like a fascist, and inspire literal Nazis to endorse you… yeah, you’re probably a fucking Nazi.

And if you support a fascist? Guess what? That makes you complicit. That makes you part of the problem. You don’t get to plead ignorance. You don’t get to claim innocence. If you back a fascist, you are enabling fascism. Period.

I don’t know about you, but ever since Zuckerberg bent the knee to Donaldism, my social media has been flooded with unhinged right-wing bullshit—Elon worship, Russian propaganda, conspiracy drivel, racist bile, anti-LGBTQ hate, and fascist talking points, all echoing Donald’s rhetoric.

When I see it, I don’t reason with it. I don’t “debate” it. I attack it. Relentlessly. I use harsh language. I mock. I shame. I make it personal. Because these people have abandoned decency, reason, and truth—and they deserve to be made to feel just as uncomfortable in public as the rest of us feel when they spew their vile garbage.

Let’s stop pretending we can change their minds with polite conversation. We can’t. These aren’t people with a different “point of view.” These are cult members. Their minds are gone. They’ve chosen fear, hatred, and authoritarianism. I don’t negotiate with terrorists. Fuck ‘em.

So when I see fascist bullshit, I don’t just argue against it—I go for the rhetorical jugular. Because their worldview is disgusting. It’s anti-American. And I refuse to let it go unchallenged.

Here’s something personal: my father had two uncles who fought in WWII. One was at Pearl Harbor during the attack—he survived because he happened to be ashore that day. The other served in Europe. My grandfather, who I never got to meet, fought in Korea. And I’m a veteran myself. So, go ahead and take a wild fucking guess where my loyalty lies.

My family has a tradition of standing up to fascism. And I’m carrying that tradition forward.
